Description
Black and white photograph showing Ethel Finecountry, an interpreter for the evangelistic work carried out by the Methodist Missionary Society (formerly the Primitive Methodist Missionary Society) in southeast Nigeria. Miss Finecountry sits on a bicycle and wears a spotted dress and a headscarf. She stands in front of one of the stone buildings at the Methodist Missionary Society hospital at Ama Achara. The caption to this image reads: "Ethel Finecountry - Interpreter for evangelistic work setting out to class." This photograph was pasted into one of a series of exercise book albums created by Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Ama Achara Methodist Hospital.
