Description
Located near and to the west of the Ruvanvälisǟya, seen here in the distance. Earlier known as Abhaya tank and enlarged and improved for about 1500 years for water storage. Pandukāhabya was the first king of Anuradhapura and the sixth recorded monarch of the island.
