Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated July 17, 1958 reads, "Lifting off runway at Whiteman Airpark in Pacoima is $200,000 hospital plane rebuilt by Volitan Aviation Co. in Pacoima. It is beleved to be frst [sic] C-47 plane in world revamped as aerial hospital. It will be accepted by Argentine government in Valley today or tomorrow and will be flown to South America where it will go into service as mercy ship for Heath and Ministry Department.
