A crowd is shown leaving the original Mission style First Methodist Episcopal Church of Hollywood at the conclusion of the worship service. As indicated by the cornerstone on the left side of the image, the church building was constructed in 1911. Built to the cost of $35,000, this church could seat 800 in the auditorium, but as the community grew a new structure was needed. A larger Gothic style church (see image 00072775) was constructed in 1929.
