Title supplied by cataloger. The upper level of the circular Mark Taper Forum is cantilevered outward to a diameter of 140 feet. Wrapping this upper area is a 378-foot precast concrete ""sculpture mural"" made up of 63 panels, each 27 feet high and 6 feet wide, representing a stylized expression of dance. Over the years changes have been made to the theater's reflecting pools: an in-fill of its 2 northern segments to accommodate site enhancements; the 2 southern segments were updated with new pool colors and the installation of railings to prevent accidents. Looking northwest towards the ""Peace on Earth"" bronze sculpture in the large reflecting pool at the Music Center Plaza. The sculpture dedication reads, ""Peace on Earth -- By -- Jacques Lipchitz -- Given as a Symbol of Peace to the Peoples of the World -- Lloyd E. Rigler -- Lawrence E. Deutsch -- 1969."" Beyond the line of manicured ficus nitida trees is the Mark Taper Forum (background), March 1981.
