Description
Photograph was edited for publication purposes.
Photograph caption dated September 22, 1961 reads "The Giants aren't the only San Francisco athletes who blow up a storm in Candlestick Park. Shown is Tom Piggee lugging the football for City College of San Francisco last night against host Valley College for a big gain. Valley's Rod Whitlow (No. 47) is about to put the stopper on Piggee. The visiting grids from the Bay Area had too much speed for the Monarchs and won easily 27-0."
