Description
Photograph of unidentified factory interior, showing workers adjusting a small slab beneath a large machine, ca.1930. At center, two factory workers can be seen grabbing a square slab while squatting down. Each worker can be seen wearing dusty shoes, slacks, a rolled-up shirt, and a small cap. The man on the right also wears a small apron around his waist, and his cap has also been positioned backwards. Beneath the slab, a large cylindrical disk can be seen resting upon a crossbeam supported by a bar. Above the slab, a large cylindrical object connected to a larger machine rests heavily on top of the slab. In the background, a worker is visible wearing gloves and holding a brush in his hands. The worker can be seen applying the brush to a part of the machine. To the left of the worker, a small wooden table and a container can be seen. To the far right, another worker is visible sitting behind a large circular valve. He can be seen gripping the valve with his right hand, while his left hand holds the bottom of a large lever. In the foreground to the left, a small barrel holding a sack can be seen. In the background at right, an open wooden door is seen next to a doorway.
