Description
Photograph shows children posing with teachers for a class picture at Lexington School in Alma, California. The first Lexington School was built in 1859 in Lexington, California. In 1911, the school was demolished and relocated to Alma as the second Lexington School. In 1952, the towns of Alma and Lexington were abandoned to make way for the Lexington Reservoir. The third Lexington School opened in 1953 in Los Gatos, California, where it still stands today.
