Description
Leslie Fruit Dryers -- Bowermann (8); Amon (13); Dryer. "In the summer of 1890 the Leslie Fruit Drying Company of Chicago installed a large plant and employed two hundred hands. This Institution lent a most acceptable aid to the city at a time when aid was sorely needed. It handled peaches and apricots and gave material assistance to those orchardists." Wiley, 1927 p. 80.
