Title supplied by cataloger. Photograph caption dated September 23, 1963 reads, " 'Orange-Aide' Doesn't Beat Heat -- Cadets from the Northridge Military Academy worked for hours Friday in blistering 100-degree heat to clear away 100 crates of oranges which were spilled at the intersection of Zelzah Ave. and Nordhoff St. in Northridge. Driver Richard Angulo said the crates of juice oranges fell from his truck as he turned from Zelzah onto Nordhoff. Then, a bus-load of cadets from the Academy under the direction of Maj. Michael Blankenship happened along the same route. The hard-working youths collected and repacked nearly all the oranges."
