Description
A group of Mayan men carry a casket on their shoulders to the cemetery as part of a funeral service. A group of Mayan women and other men accompany them on the walk down a road. Some of the men are wearing hats and both men and women are wearing colorful traditional Mayan clothing. The funeral was for a Mayan civilian who was allegedly killed by guerilleros in Patzún, Department of Chimaltenango. Un grupo de hombres mayas cargan un ataúd sobre sus hombros al cementerio como parte de un servicio funeral. Un grupo de mujeres y hombres mayas los acompañan mientras caminan por una carretera. Varios de los hombres llevan sombreros y todos llevan ropa tradicional colorida maya. El funeral es en honor a un civil maya que presuntamente fue asesinado por guerrilleros en Patzún, departamento de Chimaltenango.
