Photograph caption dated February 19, 1962 reads, "Pulchritudinous pachyderm named Sydney arrives at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's casting gate to pick up his 'talent pass' and check in for his first day's work, playing the title role in Billy Rose's "Jumbo," circus musical starring Dorris Day, Stephen Boyd, Jimmy Durante and Martha Raye. Sydney is on loan-out from the Clyde Beatty Circus. He's been taking special acting lessons for bits of business he must perform in film."
