Description
The Tupperware company holds its fifth annual banquet in the Pacific Ballroom at the Hotel Statler at 930 Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles Times, Hotel Statler was built in 1952 and was host to the 1952 Emmy Awards. It was renamed to Statler Hilton and later the Wilshire Grand Hotel. In 2011, the hotel closed in order to be demolished and replaced by a $1.1-billion tower complex. The image was taken on April 8, 1955, and was ordered by Peter Block of Poly Sales Co. (474 South Raymond Avenue).
