Description: Pages 61 through of a 127 page handwritten travel diary, written in pen in a notebook with a black cardboard cover; the pages are numbered. This contains both dated and undated entries with details about travel destinations, expenses, and names of travel companions as well as brief references to contemporary and historical places and events and the specific travel letters Ellen Browning Scripps had completed for the Detroit Evening News. This portion of the notebook begins with her departure from Detroit and ends with her trip to a market in Blida, Algeria, corresponding to travel letters 1- 29.
