2008-1003 PHOTO: PORTRAITS: ROOSEVELT, THEODORE Shows President in horse and carriage on Geary Street, with mounted police before and behind. Carriage is just opposite the Humboldt Savings & Loan Society building. Title from envelope. Dewey Monument, located in Union Square, was dedicated May 14, 1903. Commemorates the victory of Admiral George Dewey in the Philippines.
