Photograph article dated March 20, 1961 reads, "The Rev. James Wiebe will be the principal speaker for the seventh annual Easter sunrise service, April 2, on Resurrection Hill in Roger Jessup Park, Pacoima. More than 1,200 persons attended last year's event, which is sponsored each year by the Pacoima-Panorama Ministerial Association in cooperation with the San Fernando and Sun Valley ministerial associations. The service will start at 6 a.m. and feature a combined choir from participating churches. Mr. Wiebe, pastor of the Valley Mennonite Brethren Church of Pacoima, has resigned his pastorate and plans to leave within the next few months for missionary service in India."
