Photo from the Los Angeles County Flood Control District. Completed in 1929, the Big Dalton Dam is located in Dalton Canyon, four miles northeast of Glendora. It controls, desilts and conserves flood water. It contained 70 acre feet of water on June 3, 1950, compared with its storage capacity of 952 acre feet. Photo date: May 3, 1939.
