Description
Doll depicts a woman kneeling over an array of fruits. She wears a multi-colored shirt and skirt, with a red waist sash. Her hair is worn in two braids with red-colored bows at the ends; a folded piece of red striped cloth sits on top of her head. The ethnicity the doll is meant to represent is unknown. The type of headdress indicates possible Yao or Mien woman, however the textiles used do not. The doll was originally categorized as Vietnamese, however the textiles indicate a possible Karen woman and there are no Karen people noted in Vietnam. Original title from SEACRC: Hilltribe doll
