Description
The extensive portfolio of photographic artist Carol Westwood (1942-2011), a native New Yorker who lived in Los Angeles for many years, includes a diverse array of subjects: animals, nudes, American and European cities, and portraits. Additionally, she worked on special and still photography for numerous motion picture and television productions in Hollywood; the archive of her entertainment and celebrity images was distributed internationally by Gamma, Liaison International, Stone Images, and Getty images from 1988-2003.
Looking west towards the Unocal Building, later the Los Angeles Center Studios, located at 1201 West 5th Street, as seen from across the 110 Harbor Freeway in Downtown Los Angeles. The Unocal Building was designed by William Pereira and completed in 1960. Photograph dated October 1986.
