Description
Pacific Ocean Park (POP) amusement pier opened July 28, 1958 and closed October 6, 1967. The pier was demolished 1974-1975. The workers likely occupied the dormant Casino Gardens Ballroom on Ocean Park Pier. The site had been converted to an ice skating rink and then closed in 1953. In 1957 it became the office work area for the design team.
