Description
At the May 6, 1940 municipal elections, residents of San Jose voted in favor of a three-year, 10 cent tax levy to buy the property that would become San Jose Municipal Airport. The poster is yellow with black and tan lettering, with a drawing of the airport site, and a horse and buggy at the bottom. The text reads, "Vote Yes on the San Jose Municipal Airport at the May 6th Election. Provide Aviation Facilities. Attract Industry. Build Year-Around Payrolls. Take San Jose out of the Horse and Buggy Class!"
