A Fire Prevention Week parade turns onto Miller Avenue at Throckmorton. Mill Valley motorcycle police officer John Imperiale is in the lead. On back of the photo is a clipping from an unknown newspaper (probably the Mill Valley Record): "Sirens Screaming, fire fighting equipment from departments throughout Southern Marin roar through the streets of Mill Valley as a reminder to everyone within earshot that fire prevention is everyone's job. The noisy parade last Thursday [ed. note - either 13 October or 6 October depending on date of article] marked Fire Prevention Week. It is viewed from the second floor of the Pollifrone building. Mill Valley motorcycle policeman John Imperiale is in the lead."
