Used in the Exhibit: Play by Play - A Century of L.A. Sports Photography, 1889-1989 Jack Nicholson at his court-side seat, accompanied by "Chinatown" co-star Faye Dunaway. The Lakers' most passionate fan first purchased season tickets in the 1960s, along with music producer Lou Adler. Nicholson has used basketball in two of his films. In 1971, he directed "Drive, He Said," a film about a rebellious college basketball player that has become a cult favorite. In "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor in 1975, he taught the game to insane asylum patients in a brief, but memorable, scene.
