Description
Group portrait of members of the musical comedy "Chauve Souris." Lee de Forest is at the center of the photograph. According to a clipping from the Los Angeles Examiner, 28 March 1925, Lee de Forest and Nikita Balieff signed a contract to produce a phonofilm production of "Chauve Souris" at the close of its American tour. The Phonofilm version would then be taken on the road to show across the U.S. Taken from a Lee de Forest scrapbook (2003-34-730).
