Description
Shown in circa 1960 is the "Mansion Belle." The vessel was built in 1942 for use by the Army Corps of Engineers as a snag boat, pulling loose trees and debris out of the Sacramento River's channel. The boat was then used in John Wayne's 1955, Delta-filmed "Blood Alley." It was purchased by restaurateur Frank Parisi, who ran the boat from Freeport to his Courtland nightclub, the River Mansion, which was later renamed the Grand Island Mansion.
