Photograph caption dated March 3, 1965 reads "Americana Ball guests meet at the Ambassador Hotel's Embassy Ballroom, scene of this year's benefit sponsored by the Los Angeles Founder Chapter of National Charity League. Among Valley attendants are, standing, Mr. and Mrs. Frank C. Field, Burbank, and Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Nickell of Northridge. Dr. Nickell is vice president of university planning for USC."
