Description
Exterior view of Currie's Ice Cream parlor on the northeast corner of Sunset Boulevard and Highland Avenue in Hollywood. An enormous piece of metal in the shape of an ice cream cone is displayed on the roof. Signs above the awnings read, "Jumbo malts", Mile high cones", "Malts .10 cents" and "Cones .5 cents". The shop next door has a sign that reads, "Furs by Harry Alpert", and the one next to that is a delicatessen. Currie's Ice Cream shop has since been torn down to make way for other businesses.
