Photograph caption dated August 25, 1964 reads, "C. K. Yang, left, and Rafer Johnson talk over the coming Olympic Games in Tokyo with the Syncom III communications satellite (a full-scale model shown) in front of them. The Syncom III will transmit the television coverage for the Republic of China and Johnson, former great UCLA athlete, competed for the United States in the 1960 Olympics."
