Photograph caption dated June 13, 1964 reads, "Groundbreaking ceremonies took place yesterday for the $1.5 million Communty [sic] Medical Center in Canoga Park. Francis Lederer, honorary mayor of Canoga Park, left; Mayor Luis Tellez Bustamante of Canoga's sister city, Taxco, Mexico, center, and Dr. Sidney White watched the proceedings. The new five-story center is scheduled to open May, 1965."
