Description
A photo of a group of women in kimono, who are presumably the members of Seisakai, standing together outside at the Pasadena Buddhist Temple's tea house, "Seifuan." In the center, in front of the women, there is a small table set up for a tea ceremony. The date information is taken from the back of the photo. The women third from the right in blue is Chiyoko Nishimura.
The Nishimura and Nagata Family Papers contains items relating to the history of the Pasadena Buddhist Church, including photos of events and groups associated with the church like the Pasadena Buddhist Women's Association, the Young Buddhist League (BL), various Buddhist Church conferences, Judo competitions, and Kendo competitions. Materials also relate to the incarceration of the Nagata family at the Heart Mountain incarceration camp in Cody, Wyoming and include photographs of the family.
