Description
Photograph of a panoramic view of the San Diego Port, 1948. A few large ships are visible in the ocean in the foreground and at right. Multiple piers jut into the ocean, while tall buildings are visible on land to the left of center. Various buildings cover the rest of the land to the background. A certificate filed with photoprint reads: "Crescent Wharf & Warehouse Company wishes you a merry Christmas and a prosperous & happy New Year." In addition to the note, there is a drawing of the piers and several notable buildings at the port. They include from left to right: the "B" Street Pier, the Broadway Pier, and the Navy Pier. The Navy warehouses are the two joined building next to the Navy Pier a little further inland. At left, close to the "B" Street Pier, is an "E"-shaped building which is the Municipal Warehouse.
