Description
Heather Thomas discusses her novel, “Trophies.” She begins by explaining that her book is about wealthy husbands and wives with seemingly perfect lives. She talks about how not all trophy wives are dumb, and many of the women she knows have their PhD degrees, are CEOs of companies, and are very powerful women. She discusses specific scenes from the book and talks about motivation for revenge. Thomas describes how divorce can socially ruin a woman in Hollywood, and that sometimes women to go extreme measures to maintain their wealthy lives. She ends the interview by discussing the conditions of hospitals in Los Angeles and a greater need for more emergency facilities.
