Photograph caption dated October 20, 1971 reads "Dorothy Lamour announces USO dinner honoring Bob Hope -- USO's Harvey Christian, left, Flying Tiger President Robert Prescott help." Dorothy Lamour was the entertainment chairman for the $500 plate, "Thanks for the Memories," dinner held on December 14, 1971, at the Century Plaza to honor Bob Hope's 30 years entertaining troops in partnership with the USO. The proceeds from the dinner went towards building a new USO club in Hollywood.
