Photograph caption dated February 24, 1958 reads "Mrs. Mary Lou Knapp, 42, tells West Valley detective G. W. Murphy how she was robbed of $600 by armed bandits while checking over accounts at Hangman's Tree restaurant in Tarzana. Gunmen locked her and cook in storage room and fled through back door."
