Photograph caption dated July 23, 1964 reads, "A creative teaching fair held last year by the Los Angeles Teachers Association has been accorded national honors by the National Education Association as 'the outstanding project in the area of instruction.' Accepting award is Stanley Kurtz, LATA president, seated, from Jack Robinson, NEA director, right. Arthur Gardner, president of the Los Angeles City Board of Education, looks on."
