Tepees and a brush shelter.
Title transcribed from item. Signed on mount: "© Frederick Monsen." Monsen's typed label on back says: "Paiute Indians. Nevada. Paiute is a term applied to most of the Shoshonean tribes of Utah and Nevada. As a people they are peaceable, moral and industrious. While apparently not as bright in intellect as the prairie tribes, they appear to possess more solidity of character. The picture was made in 1890 in North central Nevada."
