Description
The day is 19 September 1936 and this photograph catches the Star of Shetland, one of the last sailing ships of a once large fleet belonging to the Alaska Packers Association, on its last voyage to Osaka, Japan for scrapping. Astern of Star of Shetland is the still-under-construction Golden Gate Bridge.
