Description
Postcard showing the main building and stables of the Smith Creek Hotel. The hotel was located on the banks of Smith Creek on Mount Hamilton Road which led from San Jose to Lick Observatory. The hotel was the last of three stage stops on the steep twenty-one mile road from San Jose to the summit of Mount Hamilton.
