Description
A postcard showing the dining area of Clifton's Cafeteria. The flip side of the postcard reads "Clifton's Cafeteria, serving 16,000 daily. The Cafeteria Golden Rule--among dozens of surprisingly unique features, guests pay what they wish and dine free unless delighted. 'In all the world we believe there is no place that will so satisfyingly fill for such a modest bill.'" The postcard is addressed to Mrs. Lillie Ferneau in Kentucky. Dated March 25, 1939. Includes a cancelled one cent stamp.
