The first and second sides of the cassette tape both contain a recording of a special event hosted by San Diego NOW's task force chairs. At the event, multiple members discussed NOW's goals, how to become more active in the community, membership fees, reproductive freedom, the fire department not employing women, the Equal Rights Amendment, NOW programming, women's history programs in schools, and aiding battered women. In addition, the event also hosted a small lecture presented by Media Task Force chairman, Sue Punjack Carberry, about the sexist portrayals of women in the media.
