Photograph of the first house in Pasadena, erected by A.O. Bristol in January 1874. "Date: Jan 21, 1929. Photographer: Sansone. Copy of photo of Pasadena of old. Copy of the first building to be erected in Pasadena" -- typed Examiner photoprint slip attached to verso. "Received Examiner Reference Library January 25, 1929" -- stamped to verso. "The first house built in Pasadena. It was erected by A.O. Bristol in January, 1874. The settlement was started in 1873 by a group of former Indianans and was called the Indiana Colony. The name later was changed to Pasadena." -- Examiner clipping attached to verso, dated, "January 25, 1929". Streetscape. Horizontal photography.
