Photograph caption dated October 9, 1962 reads "Dr. J. Vinton Scott, president of the North Hollywood Kiwanis Club, presents a check of $1,000 to Dr. Mary Rose to equip a four-bed ward at the Children's Orthopaedic Hospital. In another four-bed ward maintained by the club, 312 youngsters have received medical care from Nov. 1, 1959, to June 30, 1962."
