Survival school student Marilyn Chandler closes one eye as she aims her rifle. This is part of a survival course that Harry Claflin, a long-time military veteran, instructed at the Starlight Training Center in Liberal, Missouri. Claflin fought wars in places like Asia and the Middle East, and also trained militia in Central America. Chandler is a civilian from Wichita, Kansas who worked as a chemist for an unidentified paint company.
