Photograph caption dated September 27, 1956 reads, "Mrs. Shirley Bower, a Valley resident for only two weeks, comforts her daughter Laurie, 2, at Valley Receiving Hospital. Youngster, according to police, fell into motel swimming pool at 8071 Sepulveda Blvd., Sepulveda, and was found by F. W. Monroe. Rescuer administered artificial respiration after pulling her from water. Bower family is from Maynard, Mass."
