Marvin Sweeney is Professor of Religion at Claremont Graduate University and the Claremont School of Theology. In this lecture, he discusses the book of Jonah in the Hebrew Bible and the meaning of the story for Jews, Christians and Muslims with particular emphasis on theodicy and its relevance to Yom ha-Sho'ah or Holocaust Remembrance Day.
