Description
Image of automobiles parked along the Beach Road (later Pacific Coast Highway) between the cliffs of Palisades Park at left and the back of the Santa Monica Athletic Club at right in Santa Monica, California. The Santa Monica Pier with the Whirlwind Dipper roller coaster and La Monica Ballroom is at center of image.
"Santa Monica Beach & Palisades, 1927" and "V.R. Plukas"--text, handwritten on verso. Title and date transcribed from item. The Beach Road eventually becomes the Pacific Coast Highway. Victor Plukas was a Santa Monica historian.
