This photo shows part of the Consolidated Aircraft factory, with workers and autos busily passing by, on February 3, 1941. The 16,000 men are earning a total of $2,000,000 a month now and by midsummer there will be 30,000 workers earning $5,000,000 a month. This huge payroll, officials say, is partly responsible for the boom now sweeping San Diego.
