View of the tomb of Rigail de Lastours, in Doume, Gabon.
Rigail de Lastours took part in the Mission de l'Ouest africain with Savorgnan de Brazza in 1882. He found several posts in Gabon and explored the Lekoni river, affluent of the Ogooue river. He died in Madiville the 15th of June 1885. In its memory, Madiville changed its name into Lastoursville.
