Photograph caption dated November 5, 1962 reads "Dave Phillips (59) in Saturday's crucial game with the Huskies after making first down [sic]. Washington's Lee Bernhardi (91) in foreground moves in to complete the job. USC's John Brownwood (88) and Ron Smedley (65) are down after throughing [sic] blocks, and Huskies' center Ray Mansfield (50) attempts to get back into the play." The game was held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
