Description
Photograph of the Sixth Street Viaduct spanning the Los Angeles River, 1900. Tall grass spots the lightly-colored sand which lies on either side of the thin river at center. The river winds left and right, below the large, stone bridge and into the distance. The bridge has large arches and thick supports. Similar to the bridge behind it, it reaches from the hill on the left to the train tracks at the top of the hill on the right. A train can be seen riding the rails on the right and large, cylindrical buildings stand in the background.
